Job Description

Dogwood Veterinary Clinic is looking for a skilled veterinary technician/assistant with a passion for animal welfare to join our team! We are a privately owned, general practice located in Norton Commons. Come be a part of an exciting, progressive small animal practice as we grow into the future. At least one year veterinary experience preferred.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist the Veterinarian(s) Take pets' weights and vital signs upon arrival Restrain animals during exams and procedures Feed, medicate, and care for hospitalized patients Assist during radiographic procedures Clean surgical instruments and sterilize surgical packs Clean hospital and kennels Perform anesthesia monitoring during surgical and sedated procedures Fill prescription requests IV catheter placement, venipuncture and other sample collection and submit lab samples Promote hospital and build relationships with fellow staff members and clients Qualifications and Skills Hard working, positive attitude, friendly and welcoming to clients Strong communication and leadership skills Reliability and timeliness
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$15.00 - $23.00 per hour
