Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, performing basic medical procedures, and ensuring the comfort and safety of our animal patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of animal physiology and anatomy, as well as experience in animal handling and care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures. Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during recovery. Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing equipment. Perform basic laboratory tests, including X-rays when necessary. Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices. Assist with pet grooming and bathing as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Qualifications Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and handling techniques. Experience in veterinary critical care is a plus. Familiarity with X-ray procedures is desirable. Previous experience as a veterinary technician/assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well as a team. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and staff.
