What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our doctors and technicians while ensuring patients receive excellent care.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with patient care during exams, vaccines, and treatments Gentle animal handling and restraint Obtaining patient vitals and medical histories Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas Assisting with radiology and diagnostics Supporting surgical prep and assisting as needed Administering subcutaneous injections Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Anticipating team needs and keeping workflow running smoothly Schedule We offer a flexible full-time schedule :
Monday & Friday:
7:30 AM - 6:00
PM Tuesday & Thursday:
1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Rotating weekends (every other weekend required) Full-time benefits and compensation•:
Compensation:
$12.50-13.50 per hour, for each hour worked• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k options Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount What We're Looking For 1+ year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Strong multitasking and time management skills Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Passion for animal care and client service Hands-on experience with: Patient vitals and histories Radiology Surgical prep and assisting Animal restraint Basic treatments and injections About Us We are a 4-doctor, modern small animal practice equipped with digital X-ray, dental radiography, in-house labs, ultrasound, and laser therapy.
