Veterinary Assistant - VUCC Braintree Love Emergency Medicine but Looking for Better Hours? Do you enjoy the fast pace and variety of emergency medicine but aren't looking for the intensity of a traditional ER? Veterinary Urgent Care Center (VUCC) Braintree offers the best of both worlds. We provide same-day care for non-emergent illnesses and injuries while referring patients who need more intensive emergency or hospitalization services to the appropriate facility. We're looking for a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

$21 - $24/hour What You'll Do Our Veterinary Assistants play an important role in keeping the hospital running smoothly and supporting the medical team. You'll work with a steady flow of sick and injured patients while gaining exposure to a variety of cases.
Responsibilities include:
Safely restraining patients for exams and procedures Cleaning and maintaining treatment areas Turning over and cleaning surgical suites Assisting Veterinary Technicians with daily patient care Running in-house bloodwork and other diagnostics Setting up rooms and procedures Preparing equipment and supplies Answering phones and responding to emails Assisting with patient care and recovery Supporting the team wherever needed throughout the day More Than Just Urgent Care At VUCC Braintree, you'll have the opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of veterinary medicine, including: Urgent care Wellness care Same-day surgery In-house diagnostics Digital radiology Ultrasound Dentistry, including cleanings, extractions, and dental radiographs Pharmacy services Euthanasia Acute illness and injury management Schedule VUCC is open 7 days a week with extended hours:

PM Saturday-Sunday:

What You'll Bring to the Team A High School Diploma or equivalent. A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure. Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
