Position Summary The Veterinary Assistant plays a key support role in keeping patient care moving smoothly and efficiently. You'll work alongside our technicians and veterinarians to prepare patients, assist with procedures, and help maintain the calm, organized environment our urgent care model depends on — all while building your hands-on veterinary experience. Key Responsibilities Assist technicians and veterinarians with triage, restraint, and handling during exams and treatments Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostics, treatments, and procedures. Prepare exam and treatment rooms; restock and sanitize between patients Assist with basic treatments, sample collection, and diagnostic prep Support radiology, ultrasound, and treatment area set-up Support admission and discharge of patients, including basic client communication Maintain accurate, timely medical records in the practice management system Help maintain a clean and organized hospital, and efficient workflow Qualifications Prior veterinary assistant, kennel, or animal-handling experience preferred Comfortable handling animals that may be fearful, painful, or stressed Comfortable working in a fast-paced, urgent/emergent care setting Genuine compassion for animals and the people who love them Strong teamwork and communication skills Dependable and detail-oriented Basic computer proficiency What We Offer Full-time benefits eligibility begins at 32 hours/week.
