Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant, where your passion for animal care and enthusiasm for supporting veterinary professionals will shine! In this vital role, you will assist with a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and client service. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment for pets, clients, and staff alike. Whether you're handling animals, supporting surgical procedures, or managing clinic records, your contribution will make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and pet care to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with laboratory work, medication administration, and aseptic techniques Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, surgical suites, and equipment through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices Record keeping including updating patient records accurately with medical history, treatments, and procedures performed Help with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal behavior for signs of distress or illness Support client communication by providing information on pet care instructions and answering basic questions about procedures or treatments Assist in surgical preparation and post-operative recovery by monitoring animals and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Experience Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred; experience working in a veterinary clinic is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior is beneficial Hands-on experience with dog and cat handling, medication administration, laboratory procedures or critical care is a plus Familiarity with front desk duties such as appointment scheduling or client communication is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to advancing animal health through compassionate care and professional excellence. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
