Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by assisting with animal handling, medical procedures, and client communication. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our furry patients receive compassionate, high-quality care. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with medication administration, laboratory work, and sample collection Provide pet care and animal husbandry, including trimming nails and cleaning kennels or cages Help with animal injections, and basic veterinary procedures under supervision Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications, and patient information in accordance with veterinary terminology standards Support front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and managing patient intake forms Requirements Prior experience in veterinary clinics is highly valued; pay will be commensurate with experience within a veterinary setting Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques, dog handling, and pet care best practices Familiarity with veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques is a plus Experience with animal restraint, medication administration, and laboratory work is desirable Ability to work effectively with animals of various species including dogs and cats Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner A passion for animal welfare combined with a proactive attitude to learn and grow within the veterinary field Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to advancing animal health!
