Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant and Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support veterinary professionals in delivering high-quality care, while gaining valuable experience across various aspects of veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent technical skills, and a proactive approach to pet care. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering medications. Perform animal husbandry duties such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Support diagnostic processes by preparing animals for X-ray imaging, laboratory testing, and other diagnostic procedures. Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results in compliance with clinic protocols. Ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed during surgical procedures and sample collection to prevent infections. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, and cats patients with confidence and compassion. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting dental cleanings or surgeries. Requirements Prior experience is preferable but will train the right person as well. Ability to perform animal restraint safely while demonstrating patience and professionalism. understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in a veterinary setting. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
