Pay:
$20-$25 per hour, based on experience Are you looking for a veterinary team that values collaboration, work-life balance, and exceptional patient care? Dr. Boyd's Veterinary Resort is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited hospital. Hospital Hours Monday-Saturday:
9:00 AM - 6:00
PM Sunday:

AAHA-accredited practice Three-doctor team with one doctor scheduled daily Supportive and collaborative culture Team-focused environment that values communication and morale Birthday celebrations and team recognition events Strong commitment to patient care and client service What You'll Be Doing As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our doctors, patients, and clients by: Safely restraining patients during examinations and procedures Collecting detailed patient histories Educating clients on vaccines, preventive care, and wellness recommendations Assisting with treatments and patient care Supporting doctors and technicians throughout the day Utilizing Fear Free handling techniques whenever possible Helping create a positive experience for both pets and their owners Qualifications Required Animal restraint experience Ability to collect accurate patient histories Strong communication and client service skills Knowledge of core versus lifestyle vaccines Familiarity with preventive care recommendations Preferred Previous veterinary hospital experience Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment Passion for patient care and teamwork Technology & Equipment Vetspire Practice Management Software IDEXX In-House Laboratory Equipment Why Join Dr. Boyd's Veterinary Resort? Safe and Clean Environment:
You'll take pride in maintaining the hospital, performing clinic upkeep and equipment maintenance to uphold our high standards of care. What You'll Bring to the Team A High School Diploma or equivalent. A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure. Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
