Job Description

Our growing veterinary practice is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician/ Assistant to join our team. MFVH is a busy practice who believes in job diversity so you will get to enjoy surgery, laboratory, and outpatient duties. No evenings, Saturdays or emergency coverage. Candidate needs to be reliable , able to consistently work scheduled hours, and have the ability to be self motivated, multitask and interact with clients and their pets. Willingness to work in a group setting is essential, as we are a small team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the veterinarian in the exam room with examinations, vaccinations, blood draw and euthanasia Help educate clients Perform receptionist duties such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments and invoicing clients Help keep the hospital clean and the appointments running smoothly and on time Restrain animals Assist in radiology Other related duties may be assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the practice
Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting Excellent communication skills Patient and caring personality Ability to follow instructions Self motivated and organized Works well with a team Observant Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs) Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs) Knowledge of Cornerstone is beneficial High school diploma required Veterinary Technician License valued Salary Based on experience, education and licensing

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
