at Horse & Hound Veterinary Services in Thomaston, Maine, United States Job Description Horse & Hound Veterinary Services is in search of a motivated person for the position of veterinary assistant or technician. Previous animal experience required. Ideal candidate should have animal behavior knowledge; animal handling skills; and a deep interest in anatomy and physiology.

Duties include:

assisting veterinarian with animal examinations; blood draws; medication administration; surgical procedures; hospitalization care; dispensing medications; and client communications via phone and in person. Our office provides care for cats, dogs, reptiles and wildlife.

Work hours:

Monday through Thursday 8 am - 5 pm. Minimum pay $16 per hour but hourly wage will increase with level of experience and skillset provided by candidate. Position available immediately.
