This vital role combines technical expertise with compassionate animal care, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality treatment and comfort. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in veterinary procedures, animal handling, and clinical support, contributing to a positive and efficient clinic environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in animal health and well-being. Through our low-cost non-profit we perform thousands of surgeries each year, and through our procedure clinic we offer additional surgeries. While we have the same equipment as most full-time clinics (with the exception of ultrasound and full body xrays), the majority of the work we do is surgeries/dentals. We are located on 7 acres and maintain a calm but fast-paced environment. We are open to all who need our services and take pride in providing top care at affordable prices. Duties Assist veterinarian with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering treatments Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings and examinations
  • experience with dental radiography is a plus Support surgical care cases by monitoring and recording vital signs, administering medications, and providing intra-operative care Communicate with and educate pet owners Maintain accurate patient records and drug logs Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary technician practices Proficiency in aseptic techniques for infection control Ability to interpret dental terminology and assist with dental procedures effectively Skilled in performing animal catheterization and obtaining blood samples Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a veterinary team and educate pet owners on animal care needs Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Passion for delivering high-quality patient care If this sounds like a good fit for you, we look forward to your application!
