Job Description

DRVC on Columbia Veterinary Clinic is actively seeking to add an Assistant to our team. As an assistant, you will serve as the heart of the clinic. You are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and will be instrumental in maintaining outstanding care for our patients, as well as effective communication with their families. Assistants may also act as our Exam Room Technicians.
You should expect to:
Keeping all cages and kennel areas clean Conduct patient check-in; including taking history, verifying vaccinations and heartworm testing, discussing preventative medications, and more Keep patients clean and properly identified Restrain animals for blood draws, vaccines, ear cleanings, nail trims Help perform ear cleanings, nail trims and baths Fill medications when needed, help medicate hospitalized animals Required skills include: Ability to lift 40-50 pounds Basic handling of pets, especially cats and large dogs Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment Dependable with strong communication skills is a must Experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but not required

$14.00 - $14.50 per hour
