Veterinary Kennel Assistant

Job Summary Are you an animal lover? Two By Two Animal Hospital is looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team. We are hiring for evening positions (Weekends required). We are in search of individuals who not only love animals but also understand their needs. This is a very physical job but also very rewarding. A day in the job consists of cleaning the hospital to keep it sanitary, animal care (walking dogs, feeding, medicating, changing litterboxes, cleaning stool, urine, and sometimes blood.) Keeping up with laundry through your shift, learning how to read animal behavior and animal handling, vacuuming, mopping, and other misc. cleaning tasks and advocating for patients' needs. Responsibilities include : Maintain a safe and sanitary facility for animals and people. Provide humane handling and care for all animals. Assure all animals' nutrition, housing and basic medical needs are met on a daily basis.

Requirements:

All employees must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. Must have a valid driver's license. Availability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays. Must be able to lift heavy weight in excess of 50 lbs. Animal handling experience is beneficial. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals. The daily environment is a very fast paced kennel setting with a multitude of noises and odors. Multi-tasking and quick thinking skills are utilized daily. We are looking for an individual with the following skills:
