Join Our Veterinary Team! We are seeking a kind, reliable, and adaptable Veterinary Assistant to support our busy 2.5-doctor small-animal practice. This is a part-time position with a primary focus on veterinary assisting. The individual hired for this role will also be cross-trained in reception to help provide additional front-desk support as needed. Position Details Part-time Approximately 20-30 hours per week $17-$19/hour, based on experience Variable weekdays Monday morning availability required Some Saturday mornings required No Sundays No major holidays Qualifications Veterinary assistant experience strongly preferred Animal handling experience required Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with clients and team members Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented Basic computer skills required AVImark experience preferred Customer service or reception experience is a plus Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities Proper restraint and handling of patients Collecting patient histories and relaying information to medical staff Nail trims and anal gland expressions Venipuncture Vaccine preparation and administration Preparing lab samples for in-house and reference labs Assisting with radiographs Filling prescriptions Assisting with surgical patient and surgical suite preparation Assisting during surgery Cleaning instruments and preparing surgical packs General treatment-area cleaning, stocking, and organization Reception Responsibilities This position will be cross-trained to assist with reception duties as needed, including: Answering phones and scheduling appointments Checking clients in and out Processing payments Assisting with client communication and follow-up Maintaining accurate records General Clinic Support Restocking supplies General clinic cleaning and organization Supporting teammates wherever help is needed Benefits Generous employee discount Earned Sick Time Paid lunches Continuing education opportunities

Pay:
