We are a fast-paced multi-doctor practice in downtown Detroit. The ideal candidate will be able to work with clients, patients and coworkers in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner. Client communication and education are integral parts of the job. This role combines front-office responsibilities with hands-on support in clinical settings. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills across veterinary support, pet care, and customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the doctors during examinations, safely restraining animals for exams and procedures, communicating with clients and doctors regarding pet health care, accurately obtain medical history and maintain records, answering phone calls and scheduling appointments, assisting in surgery, work with digital radiography and ultrasound, correctly fill prescriptions, obtain laboratory samples and run in-house diagnostic testing, keep work areas stocked and organized, hospital cleaning including mopping, dusting, laundry, and cleaning cages. Physical activity includes lots of time on your feet and ability to lift and restrain large dogs. Will also be working with veterinary computer software, email, SIP/VoIP phone system, other online veterinary platforms. Hours are M-F 9am - 5pm.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
