Clerical Technical- CT Support Staff Opening on: May 6 2026 Closing at: May 19 2026 - 23:55 EDT 10 Salary Commensurate with Experience College Of Veterinary Medicine 1127084 Working/Functional Title Surgery Veterinary Nurse Position Summary Provides patient care for ill and injured animals in the Surgery unit of the Veterinary Medical Center. This position works primarily in the operating rooms of the Small Animal Clinic, with occasional work in Large Animal Surgery, Anesthesia Support Center, Radiology, and Emergency and Critical Care. The position instructs, and demonstrates techniques to students, assists students and clinicians in their work, and maintains supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of hospital areas. Minimum Requirements knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical or vocational school in Veterinary Technology; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in extensive patient care, surgery, anesthesia, drug- dosing, and sterilization; experience in the use of spreadsheet and word processing software. May require experience in a veterinary hospital research setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; licensed as a Veterinary Technician with the State of Michigan or attainment of such certification within one year from date of employment.
