Veterinary Assistant

Fremont Animal Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our amazing team! As a veterinary assistant, you play a key role in supporting our veterinarians and licensed technicians while helping provide exceptional care to our patients and their families. What You'll Do:

Create and maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians during exams and procedures Prepare patients and equipment for surgeries and treatments Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently Monitor the well-being of pets during hospital stays or boarding Provide gentle, compassionate care in all situations

What We're Looking For:

At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice, or equivalent hands-on experience Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Kindness, empathy, and professionalism—especially in sensitive moments Ability to stay calm and effective in fast-paced situations Comfortable using technology (phones, computers, medical software) A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
