  • Full-time Overview Evergreen Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong desire to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to pets. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals while assisting in various clinical procedures. Responsibilities Work directly with clients to receive overall health information regarding their cats and dogs. Assist veterinarians in examinations and treatments of animals. Perform routine laboratory tests (IDEXX), including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health during procedures and provide post-operative care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and wellness practices. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical areas and kennels. Qualifications Proven experience in animal handling, including dog handling skills. Ability to perform animal catheterization, blood draws, read cytology's . Knowledge of dental terminology and basic animal physiology is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and their pets. Previous veterinary experience preferred but not mandatory.
