Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

As a hospital, we focus on education and the special relationship between staff, clients, and their pets. We utilize fear-free techniques and gentle handling to help our patients have enjoyable visits. A professional demeanor, a caring and compassionate attitude towards animals and their people, and strong organizational and computer skills are a must. EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent • Veterinary Technician Certification (License) 2+ years in the veterinary industry as an assistant or technician

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum one-year experience as a licensed veterinary technician preferred. OR 2+ years in the veterinary industry as an assistant or technician

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 18 years old. Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain. Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis. Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members. Has excellent client communication skills.
