Job Description

Lyon Veterinary Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We practice high-quality small animal medicine with a strong focus on preventive care, pain management, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, and multi-modal treatments . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and providing excellent patient and client care. Responsibilities Assist with patient restraint and animal handling Support veterinarians with preventive care and treatments Communicate with clients regarding preventive medications and vaccination schedules Monitor patients during anesthesia and surgical procedures Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments Use online communication systems and practice software Qualifications Previous small animal veterinary clinic experience required Knowledge of preventive medications and vaccination schedules Strong communication skills and phone etiquette Comfortable working in a team-based environment Computer proficiency required Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical instrument maintenance, or ezyVet software is a plus Schedule Includes some evenings and Saturdays We are hiring for a long-term position, not just for the summer If you're passionate about high-quality veterinary care and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.
