In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by handling animal husbandry, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. Your enthusiasm for animal welfare and strong communication skills will help create a positive environment for pets, clients, and team members alike. Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and behavior management to ensure safe and stress-free procedures Support veterinary technicians during surgeries, medication administration, IV insertions, and catheterizations Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites through thorough cleaning and sanitation practices Record detailed patient information including medical history, treatment notes, and medication logs using veterinary terminology Provide pet care including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring animal welfare throughout their stay Help with client communication by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing post-treatment instructions Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards for staff and animals Experience Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred Veterinary clinic or veterinary technician experience highly desirable Exposure to veterinary critical care environments is a plus Familiarity with animal husbandry, anatomy, physiology, and behavior concepts Experience with record keeping systems related to veterinary practice management Knowledge of surgical procedures and medication protocols in a veterinary setting Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal restraint techniques This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal health who are eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
