At Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC), exceptional patient care starts with a clean, safe, and organized hospital. We're looking for a Day-Evening Veterinary Hospital Attendant to help support our Emergency & Critical Care team by keeping our hospital running smoothly while the rest of the city sleeps. This is not a primary animal handling position. While you'll work around animals and may occasionally observe patients, the primary focus of this role is environmental services, infection control, stocking, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment for patients, clients, and team members. Schedule Day/Evening Position Full-time 10a-8p Weekends and holidays required as part of a 24/7 emergency hospital What You'll Do Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and public spaces according to hospital disease-control protocols Prepare patient housing areas for incoming patients Wash, fold, and distribute laundry throughout the hospital Restock treatment areas, nurse stations, and supply locations Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital Monitor for safety concerns and report issues promptly Support our medical team by ensuring the hospital environment is ready for patient care at all times What We're Looking For Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the shift Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Comfortable working in a veterinary hospital environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift throughout the shift Previous housekeeping, custodial, environmental services, hotel, healthcare, veterinary, or hospital experience is helpful but not required.
