- Part-time, Full-time Shamrock Animal Hospital, a privately owned full-service small animal hospital in Rosemount, MN is adding Veterinary Assistant positions to meet our growing case-load.

- VA Duties include but are not limited to:
- Obtain patient history and take vital signs
- Provide animal restraint
- Communicate clearly between front-desk (admissions & discharges) and your team members to support a smooth flow of patient/client care
- Apply therapeutic laser treatments
- Position and expose radiographs
- Serve as a medical scribe to assist DVM during a physical exam
- Provide patient care for in-hospital and boarded animals that require medications
- Assist in training new vet & tech assistants (once settled into the VA role)
- Provide and maintain clear lines of communication between team members (DVM, CVT, vet asst, tech asst)
- Perform nail trims and anal gland expression
- Maintain aseptic practice standards
- Work schedule:
- 4-5 day work week ( 8-10 hour days)
Clinic Hours:
- Monday
- Friday 8 am
- 6 pm We are currently not open on weekends or evenings in order to manage staff and doctor stress and fatigue from the
COVID-19
"curbside" practice model.Benefits:

VA Salary:
$16.00- $17.00/hour ($32,000
- $34,000/year) or more depending on experience, skill set, and assumed responsibilities .
