Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor dogs in a daycare setting to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Engage and interact with dogs, providing them with exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
  • Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by the owner or veterinarian
  • Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or ensure a positive social environment
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, and maintaining accurate records
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is preferred
  • Knowledge of animal behavior and body language is beneficial
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Experience as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or in a related field is advantageous
  • Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds with confidence and care
  • Proficient in animal restraint techniques and basic first aid for animals
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) for tasks such as moving dog crates or bags of food
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dog training techniques and positive reinforcement methods is desirable
  • Basic understanding of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications If you are passionate about working with dogs and providing exceptional care, we invite you to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant.
