Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in a daycare setting to ensure their safety and well-being
- Engage and interact with dogs, providing them with exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
- Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by the owner or veterinarian
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or ensure a positive social environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, and maintaining accurate records
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and body language is beneficial
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Experience as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or in a related field is advantageous
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds with confidence and care
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques and basic first aid for animals
- Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) for tasks such as moving dog crates or bags of food
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and positive reinforcement methods is desirable
