Job Summary Small business with a family atmosphere is looking for an up-beat, friendly person to join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical care, assist with animal handling, and ensure a clean, safe, and efficient clinic environment. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us provide top-tier veterinary services while fostering a compassionate atmosphere for every patient. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection. Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Prepare animals for examinations or surgeries by applying aseptic techniques and ensuring proper positioning. Conduct laboratory tests, process X-ray images, and maintain accurate records of diagnostic results. Handle pet care responsibilities including dog training, pet grooming, and ensuring animals are comfortable during their visit. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, polishing, and radiography. Maintain detailed records of animal physiology, anatomy, and treatment plans to support veterinary decision-making.
