We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be skilled in the handling of animals. This role involves assisting veterinarians and technicians in providing high-quality emergency medical care to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety during visits. The Veterinary Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized environment while fostering positive relationships with pet owners.
Shifts:
7a-7p or 7p-7a - weekends are required
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including kennels, exam rooms, and surgical areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the clinic Administer medications as directed by veterinarians and educate pet owners on post-care instructions. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing their questions and concerns with empathy.
Qualifications:
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset Team player Strong communication skills. Positive, professional attitude. At least 1 year of experience in the veterinary field Ability to effectively utilize your skills while working collaboratively with your team.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
