Position Overview We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant who would also work as a Client Care Specialist. This person will be the first point of contact for our clients and referring veterinarians as well as assisting technicians with procedures. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-focused environment, who enjoys combining organizational skills with empathy and clear communication; as well as utilizing veterinary assistant skills with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients with professionalism and compassion, ensuring a positive experience from the first interaction. Greet and check in surgical clients, ensuring proper documentation and patient care details are obtained Manage appointments, referrals, and client records with accuracy and efficiency. Communicate effectively with pet owners, referring veterinarians, and pharmacies via phone, email, and in person. Prepare and review medical records prior to appointments. Support the veterinary team by coordinating daily schedules and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Maintain a welcoming reception area and assist with administrative tasks as needed. Provide support during surgical procedures, including patient prep and monitoring under supervision Assist doctors and technicians with patient handling, treatments, and follow-up care Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records Dispense prescription items per veterinarian instructions Utilize hospital systems for record-keeping and communication Collect and process client transactions accurately Assist with physical exams, restraint, and venipuncture Take accurate patient vital signs
General Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (EzyVet or similar) a plus. Prior experience in a veterinary setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Ability to handle animals safely and with care Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
