We are committed to delivering high‑quality medicine and exceptional client and patient care to the Dardenne Prairie community. As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure the comfort of our patients, support our technicians and veterinarians, and contribute to the smooth daily operation of the hospital. A love for animals is essential — but so is the ability to care for them safely, confidently, and with empathy. What You'll Do Assist Veterinarians & Technicians — Support medical staff during exams, treatments, and procedures. Animal Handling & Restraint — Safely handle and restrain pets for exams and diagnostics. Diagnostic Support — Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds as directed. Sample Collection — Monitor, collect, and label urine and fecal samples. Patient Monitoring — Record and report vitals for hospitalized and surgical patients. Patient Care — Provide routine care, comfort, and cleanliness for hospitalized animals. Hospital Cleanliness — Maintain clean exam rooms, kennels, treatment areas, and common spaces. Medication Preparation — Prepare prescription medications for dispensing under veterinary supervision.
