Job Description
Key Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, and maintain kennels, cages, treatment areas, and common spaces according to hospital protocols Feed, water, walk, and monitor hospitalized and boarding animals Observe pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or condition and report concerns to veterinary staff Assist with patient comfort, including bedding changes, enrichment, and basic handling Launder towels, bedding, and other reusable supplies Restock cleaning and animal care supplies as needed Safely handle animals of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control guidelines Provide support to veterinary technicians and doctors as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience working with animals (professional or volunteer) preferred Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling is a plus Ability to follow detailed instructions and hospital protocols Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Skills & Competencies Compassion and patience when working with animals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependability and a positive attitude Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) Exposure to animals, cleaning chemicals, and biohazards Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required Schedule & Employment Type Full-time or part-time Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required Why Join Our Team Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision) 401k Matching Paid Time Off and Holidays Please note: Any Benefits listed above apply to full-time employees.
