$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Position Summary At Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to every patient and an outstanding experience for every client. The Hospital Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our team by helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient hospital while ensuring pets in our care are comfortable and well looked after. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about animals, take pride in their work, and enjoy being part of a collaborative, fast-paced team. This is a temporary, seasonal position based on hospital needs. What You'll Do Provide daily care for pets staying in our hospital and lodge, including feeding, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kennels, runs, and lodging areas Clean and maintain grooming bathtubs, grooming areas, floors, and kennels Perform routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the hospital, including laundry, disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and restocking supplies Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with hospital protocols Safely transport patients between departments as needed Assist with yard clean-up and maintaining the exterior appearance of the hospital Support veterinary technicians and doctors with patient handling and non-medical tasks Assist other departments as needed, including reception and grooming Help maintain an organized, efficient flow throughout the hospital Observe and report any changes in patient behavior or condition What to Expect in This Role This is a hands-on, physically active role with frequent movement throughout your shift Must be able to lift, carry, and move 50 lbs or more (animals, equipment, and supplies), with or without assistance You will be cleaning frequently and maintaining high standards of sanitation You will be exposed to animal waste, odors, and cleaning chemicals The environment is fast-paced, team-driven, and constantly evolving You will work with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs What We're Looking For A genuine love for animals and a strong sense of compassion Dependability and a strong work ethic Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization Interest in veterinary medicine or animal care is a plus, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 lbs or more (including animals, equipment, and supplies), with or without assistance Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and physical tasks Work Environment & Schedule Veterinary hospital setting with exposure to animals, noise, odors, and cleaning agents Fast-paced environment with varying activity levels Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Seasonal/temporary position based on hospital demand Why Fox Creek?
