Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be crucial in providing quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and supporting our veterinarians. The ideal candidate will have a strong animal care background and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Duties:
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
  • Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
  • Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean working environment
Requirements:
  • Proficient in animal restraint techniques for various species (e.g., dogs, cats, equine)
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
