Job Description

Rate of Pay:
$16-22, depending on experience. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting is required.
Hours:
Monday
  • Friday 7:00-4:00, 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-close (we close at 5:30pm
  • Rotating shifts each week. Saturdays 8:00am
  • Noon (1-2 Saturdays a month) Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Animal Care
  • feeding, walking, cleaning cages/runs, administering medications
  • Assisting Doctor
  • holding animals for procedures, prepping animals for surgery, assisting in surgery, drawing blood, performing a variety of lab work
  • Client Communication
  • answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining pet histories, client education, discharging patients
  • Hospital Maintenance
  • cleaning, stocking inventory
Abilities Required:

We require:
hard
  • working, dependable, self-started, ability to multi task, honest, team player, etc.
You must have a fair amount of strength and stamina to walk large, rambunctious dogs and lift moderate sized dogs (i.e. 40 lbs.). A positive attitude and good communication skills are also a necessity.
