The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional care for our patients while ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the kennel area.
Responsibilities:
Assist in feeding and walking animals Clean and maintain kennel area, including cages and runs Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff Assist with animal restraint during medical procedures Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to veterinary staff Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and nail trimming Assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a safe and clean hospital environment
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience working with animals preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
