Coats Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate and dedicated team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about animal care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and thrives as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments Restrain and handle dogs and cats safely and confidently Prepare patients for examinations and outpatient procedures Perform laboratory testing and collect samples as directed Administer medications and treatments under supervision Maintain accurate medical records Clean and prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Educate clients on basic pet care and hospital services

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience required (clinical experience preferred) Knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment Strong communication and client service skills Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Ability to lift and restrain animals of varying sizes
