Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional emergency animal care. In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in delivering comprehensive medical services, assisting with diagnostics, treatments, and patient management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your veterinary skills while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives. •We are currently looking for overnight shift 8p to 8a• Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring smooth clinic operations. Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations and procedures to minimize stress and ensure safety for both animals and staff. Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests by performing animal husbandry tasks. Collect laboratory samples such as blood, urine, or tissue specimens; perform basic lab tests and record results accurately. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. •Strong experience in monitoring anesthesia during surgery.• Support pet owners with pet care instructions, post-operative care guidance, and education on animal health. Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines; assist with radiographs and interpret basic imaging results under supervision. Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures including sample collection and processing. Ability to perform animal catheterization and restraint techniques safely. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for surgical preparation and wound management. •Strong anesthesia monitoring knowledge •required Experience with radiography (X-ray) operation and interpretation is highly desirable. Excellent animal handling skills Ability to communicate clearly with pet owners about veterinary procedures using veterinary terminology in an understandable manner.
