Tech Waxhaw Animal Hospital Overview:

Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant and contribute to the well-being of animals in our care. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for animal health and welfare.

Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in routine examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
• Monitor and care for animals post-surgery or treatment
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment plans
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

Qualifications:

• Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
• Proficiency in animal handling, including restraint and care
• Knowledge of animal physiology and common veterinary procedures
• Familiarity with kennel operations and pet care practices
• Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively

Nice-to-have Skills:

• Experience in dog handling, training, or pet sitting
