Our busy 4-doctor small animal hospital is seeking an experienced RVT or Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and clients, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Veterinary Assistant or RVT (required) Strong skills in surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring (preferred) Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities A dependable, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
Key Responsibilities:
Educating and supporting clients Assisting doctors during exams and procedures Safe and effective animal restraint Administering vaccines Taking digital radiographs Obtaining lab samples and drawing blood Running in-house lab tests Placing IV catheters Assisting in surgery and monitoring anesthesia Filling prescriptions accurately Maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment Entering charges and ensuring accurate medical records
Schedule & Requirements:
Typical schedule: 3 full days (7:15am-6pm), one ½ day, and alternating Saturdays Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials Why Join Us?
