Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and excellent communication skills, allowing them to interact effectively with clients and their pets. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries regarding services, medications, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and preparation for examinations. Administer medications as directed by veterinarians and provide instructions to pet owners. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic facilities. Educate clients on pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and assistants to ensure high-quality patient care. Experience The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills: Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment. Experience with animal handling techniques, including dog handling and restraint methods. Background in laboratory procedures or veterinary critical care is a plus. Kennel experience is advantageous for this role.
