Omaha, NE Pay:

Starting at $16/hour (based on experience) Gentle Doctor Animal Hospitals is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! What You'll Do:

Assist veterinarians and technicians with appointments and procedures Safely restrain animals for exams, treatments, and diagnostics Prepare and maintain exam rooms and surgical areas Collect samples (blood, urine, fecal) and run basic lab work Take radiographs (preferred experience) Administer medications and vaccines under supervision Provide clear, compassionate communication with clients Support overall hospital flow and patient care

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience required Strong animal handling and restraint skills Ability to stay calm and efficient in a busy environment Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude Dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow Experience with veterinary software is a plus

Schedule & Availability:

Full-time averages ~38 hours per week Open to part-time candidates , but must be flexible Clinic hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM•6:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM•1:00 PM Rotating weekend kennel shifts required (paid at +$3/hour) Why Gentle Doctor?
