This position will rotate between assisting our medical team and supporting front desk operations. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and comfortable multitasking in a busy environment.
Requirements:

About Us 24th Street Animal Clinic is a dynamic veterinary practice located in the heart of South Omaha. We are passionate about improving animals' lives while educating and supporting our clients. Position Summary This role supports both the medical team and front desk operations. As a veterinary assistant, you will help doctors and licensed veterinary technicians with patient care and procedures. As a receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary clinic setting Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical (Veterinary Assistant)
Duties:
Provide compassionate care to patients and clients Assist with restraining pets for examinations and procedures Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Maintain and clean equipment and clinical areas Perform basic physical assessments and accurately record observations Assist technicians and veterinarians with treatments and procedures Understand common vaccines and protocols and communicate with clients Properly handle and care for surgical materials and equipment Reception (Front Desk)
Duties:
Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic calendar Check patients in and out, process payments, and review invoices Maintain accurate client and patient records Communicate clearly with clients regarding services, estimates, and follow-ups Support overall clinic flow and client experience
