Junior Veterinary Nurse

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate veterinary nurse to join our dynamic veterinary team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal care, veterinary procedures, and client communication. As a Junior Veterinary Nurse, you will assist with daily clinical tasks, support animal treatment and recovery, and ensure the highest standards of pet care are maintained. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: Possess basic knowledge and understanding of veterinary medical concepts Provide compassionate and quality patient care and customer service Complete intakes, subjectives, and support veterinarians in out patient appointments Basic technical skills including but not limited to venipuncture, sample collection, radiology Perform tech appointments In-patient and out-patient nursing care Fill and dispense medications Utilize basic medical math Client communication and education Clean and disinfect kennels, equipment, and facility while utilizing appropriate PPE and following cleaning protocols Other duties as assigned Required skills: Compassionate and quality patient care and customer service Ability to monitor and assess patient's status Low stress restraint for variety of patients and temperaments Outstanding interpersonal communication and the ability to work in a team environment or independently Physical stamina and ability to work 9+ hour shifts on feet, lift, stand, squat, etc for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Possible exposure to animal bites and/or interspecies communicable diseases Basic computer skills Basic phone skills Desired skills: Medical math skills: ability to convert units and complete basic math problems Phlebotomy Medication administration:
