Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support our veterinarians and technicians in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and help with a variety of tasks. Responsibilities Assist veterinary team during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Administer medications and perform diagnostic tests under supervision. Maintain a clean and sanitary clinic environment by cleaning exam rooms, surgical areas, and equipment. Monitor the safety and comfort of patients, providing food, water, and exercise as needed. Educate clients on pet health and treatment plans. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a veterinary facility is preferred but not always required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues. Ability to handle animals with compassion and skill. Physical ability to perform duties that include lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, standing for long periods, and handling potentially stressful situations. Basic computer and telephone skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and comfort clients. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
