In this role, you will be the friendly face greeting clients at the front desk while also providing essential support behind the scenes to ensure smooth clinic operations. Your multitasking skills, animal handling expertise, and veterinary knowledge will contribute to delivering exceptional pet care and client service in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and billing using veterinary software systems such as AVImark or Cornerstone Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, handling, and care during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Perform medical collections in accordance with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) regulations and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) standards Support laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, and basic analysis to aid in diagnostics Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites following aseptic techniques and animal husbandry best practices Handle phone inquiries professionally, schedule appointments, provide client education on pet care and surgery procedures, and communicate effectively about treatment plans Assist with animal catheterization, administering medications, and supporting critical care needs for hospitalized animals Support front desk operations by managing pet records, processing payments, verifying insurance details, and ensuring compliance with veterinary administrative protocols Experience Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter setting is highly preferred Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and companion animal medicine Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care procedures such as grooming or feeding Familiarity with veterinary software platforms like AVImark or Cornerstone for record keeping and appointment management Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures including laboratory testing and drug administration following DEA regulations Experience with kennel management or animal husbandry practices is advantageous Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing compassionate pet care while advancing your career in veterinary medicine.
