You will be instrumental in delivering compassionate pet care, performing diagnostic procedures, and assisting with medical treatments across a variety of species. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring proper animal restraint and handling at all times Perform laboratory procedures including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support diagnostics Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety Handle pet grooming, pet care, and animal husbandry tasks to promote overall well-being of patients Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, polishing, and extractions Operate radiography equipment (X-ray) accurately while maintaining safety protocols for staff and animals Administer medications via various routes such as injections or catheterizations with precision and care Manage kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, monitoring animal behavior, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions Utilize veterinary terminology effectively to communicate patient status and treatment plans within the team Experience Prior in-clinic experience or hands-on animal handling skills are highly valued Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology is essential for accurate assistance Veterinary technician experience or related laboratory experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with animal catheterization techniques and aseptic procedures is advantageous Experience working with EMR systems Strong animal restraint skills combined with a genuine passion for animal welfare will help you succeed in this role Join us to become part of a dedicated team committed to exceptional pet healthcare!
