We're opening our doors to the community, and we're looking for a Veterinary Assistant who's ready to grow with us. As one of our very first team members, you'll play a vital role in shaping the heart and soul of the clinic—on both the front lines and behind the scenes. This is a cross-trained role, ideal for someone who thrives in both client-facing and patient-care settings. What You'll Do Assist with routine exams, diagnostics, surgeries, dental cleanings, and other general practice procedures Restrain animals safely and compassionately for exams and treatments Support veterinary technicians and DVMs with accurate medical documentation and patient care Maintain cleanliness and sterility in exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Greet and check in clients, answer phones, and assist with scheduling as needed Prepare medications and discharge instructions with clear client communication Be a positive, flexible team player who contributes to a supportive, inclusive clinic culture What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a clinical animal care role Confidence in both front and back-of-house responsibilities Strong communication skills with a high level of empathy and integrity A proactive team member who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment Someone who takes pride in doing things right, not just fast Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and be on your feet for most of the shift What You'll Get Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Pet care discounts for your own animals A positive team culture rooted in respect, growth, and transparency The rare chance to help build something from the ground up Who We Are At Lake Mead Pet Hospital, we're not just opening another clinic—we're building a new standard for community-centered vet care in Henderson.
