Durango Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced and dedicated assistant to join our busy, vibrant practice, where we pride ourselves on providing exceptional care to small animals and some exotics. We're a team of 5 doctors. Monday-Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm If you have strong computer and communication skills, can multitask with ease, and are passionate about animals, this is the role for you! We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should feel comfortable performing a variety of tasks including: assist in animal handling and restraint during procedures, exams and treatments monitoring and caring for animals before, during, and after surgeries/treatments Taking radiographs and performing in-house lab work Preparing samples for outside labs Providing care for hospitalized patients Educating and communicating with clients Work effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and other team members to provide excellent animal care Performing light housekeeping tasks for hospital maintenance The role will require flexibility, with the possibility of working evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts when needed.
