Duties Monday - Thursday 9pm-6am Assist with animal restraint and handling to ensure safe and stress-free procedures during overnight hours Administer medications, injections, and treatments following veterinary instructions with precision and care Monitor hospitalized animals, recording vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with laboratory tests, sample collection, and basic diagnostics Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques in treatment areas to prevent infection and ensure safety Help with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and general care to promote comfort and health Assist in emergency situations by providing critical animal care and supporting resuscitation or stabilization efforts Experience Prior kennel experience or animal handling background preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques is beneficial Hands-on experience with medication administration, catheterization, aseptic techniques, and laboratory procedures is a plus Familiarity with pet care routines, dog handling skills, and equine experience can enhance your effectiveness in this role Previous veterinary assistant or critical care experience will help you excel in managing hospitalized animals during overnight shifts Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to providing outstanding animal care during the night!
