Veterinary Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role is vital in supporting veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional animal care. Duties Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff Support veterinary technicians with laboratory tests, sample collection, and processing Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical and treatment areas using aseptic techniques Handle pet care activities including feeding, bathing, grooming, and monitoring behavior Assist with tasks including feeding, cleaning kennels, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions Handle dog handling and other species-specific animal care tasks with confidence and professionalism Maintain detailed records of treatments, medications administered, and patient progress Experience Prior kennel experience or pet care experience preferred but not required Veterinary clinic or veterinary assistant experience highly desirable Strong background in pet care, and animal handling desired for this role This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal health who are eager to grow their skills within a professional veterinary environment.
