Job Description

This is an overnight, full-time or part-time, SEASONAL position with very competitive compensation including an overnight pay differential of up to 25%. A flexible schedule is required. Rhinebeck Equine is the largest equine referral hospital in the Hudson Valley with board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, theriogenology, and ophthalmology. As an overnight veterinary assistant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to; restraining patients, oral medication administration, preparing supplies needed for treatment, preparing specimens and performing laboratory testing, assisting in taking radiographs, scrubbing for procedures, billing for treatments, and general overnight care and housekeeping. We cross-train our staff and work as a team, so you will have opportunities to learn and work in other areas of our hospital. Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and horse knowledge are vital to this role. Your horse handling skills are key to success in this role. Previous equine experience is required
